Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The Douglas County Fair Foundation (the “Foundation,” “we,” or “us”) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Castle Rock, Colorado. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We operate separately from Douglas County government.
Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us. We do not track visitors or build profiles.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you select, and your message.
- L.E.G. Up grant application: the applicant’s name, date of birth, grade, school, and 4-H / FFA involvement; the animal they would like to raise; and a parent or guardian’s name, phone, email, and mailing address.
- Planned giving inquiries: your name, email, and any details you choose to share.
Because L.E.G. Up serves young people, applications often include information about a minor. We ask that a parent or guardian review and submit these applications, and we use the information only to run the grant program.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To review and administer L.E.G. Up grant applications and scholarships.
- To keep you updated about a program or gift you asked about.
- To carry out the Foundation’s charitable programs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
How your information is shared
Form submissions are delivered by email to Foundation staff and volunteers who handle that request. We share information only with the board members and volunteers who administer our programs, or when required by law. We never share it for advertising.
Donations
Donations are processed securely through PayPal. Payment details such as card or bank information are entered on PayPal’s own secure system — the Foundation does not see or store your payment information. PayPal’s handling of your data is governed by PayPal’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, Google Analytics, or social media pixels. Because we are not tracking you, no cookie-consent banner is needed.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other organizations, including the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, PayPal, and our social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children except as part of a L.E.G. Up application submitted with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child has provided information without a parent’s knowledge, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will always show the current version.
