From livestock grants to college scholarships, the Foundation puts real resources behind the young people who carry on our agricultural traditions.
The L.E.G. Up Program
L.E.G. Up — the Livestock Educational Grant program — gives 4-H and FFA youth the funding, the animal, and the mentorship to raise a market livestock project. Created in 2014 with the Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation, it now supports six species: steer, swine, goat, lamb, breeding rabbits, and market poultry.
Grant reimbursement covers expenses — and the prize money and sale proceeds belong to the participant.

The $2,000 DCFF Scholarship
Each year the Foundation awards two $2,000 scholarships to students who've shown real commitment to the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo through their volunteer service.
Open to students enrolled in two-year, four-year, certification, or trade school programs.
