The Douglas County Fair Foundation supports the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo by promoting education and year-round community involvement
to expand and enhance the overall Fair & Rodeo experience.
GOALS
Raise money through multiple fundraising activities each year
Provide a contribution platform for designated gifts and / or sponsorships for specific fair activities
Facilitate and supplement resources for youth projects and scholarships
Promote education to the community concerning the value of agricultural tradition and the rural heritage of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo
Expand the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo by fostering and encouraging year-round citizen family involvement in various programs and volunteer opportunities
OUR FOUNDATION
The Douglas County Fair & Rodeo is a longtime tradition that holds a special place in the hearts of Douglas County residents. This highly attended event has been a showcase for the skills and talents of many for generations. Complete with award winning PRCA rodeos, 4-H, FFA and open class exhibitors, Jr. Livestock Sale, carnival, entertainment and much more, this is a fun gathering for young and old. A 501(C)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt philanthropic organization, the Douglas County Fair Foundation provides the financial support and platform and:
- Is responsible for receiving and administering the charitable donations to support the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo
- Awards the Foundation funds through a 100% volunteer Board of Directors
- Assists in implementing a positive learning environment for Douglas County youth
- Promotes sportsmanship, showmanship and workmanship
