The Douglas County Fair and Rodeo is a longtime tradition that holds a special place in the hearts of Douglas County residents. This highly attended event has been a showcase for the skills and talents of many for generations. Complete with a PRCA rodeo, 4-H, FFA and Open Class exhibitors, Livestock Sale, carnival, entertainment and much more, this is a fun gathering for the young and old. The Douglas County Fair Foundation provides the financial support platform of this event. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt philanthropic organization, the Foundation:
- Is responsible for receiving and administering the charitable donations to support the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo
- Awards the Foundation funds through an all volunteer Board of Directors
- Assists in implementing a positive learning environment for Douglas County youth
- Promotes sportsmanship, showmanship and workmanship
The mission of the Douglas County Fair Foundation is to provide financial support to the Douglas County Fair Board for the management and operation of the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo.
